Here's what's inside this mini-course: Ready to rock the Versatility Ranch Horse Conformation? It may look simple, but succeeding in this class takes effort! Cathy Wright shares her experience and tips, typically available only to RideLife members, but we’re giving you a glimpse to ignite your passion for learning. Don’t take our word for it—check out this AQHA article on the Judge’s Perspective, including how the class is conducted in one of the steps included in this mini course. In a Versatility Ranch Horse show, the conformation class is held at the end of the day, allowing the judge to evaluate the horse's form after seeing it perform. It’s about form to function. Some competitors may think, "It's just halter," but that attitude can show in their presentation. Remember, every class counts the same. Don’t end a great day of showing by being half-hearted in this class—it could make or break your all-around win. Even if your horse isn’t heavily muscled, doing everything you can to improve your chances is worth it. Leaving a good impression on the judge is important, as you may show under them again. Putting in the effort shows respect for the judge, and they’ll appreciate it. Now, let’s get to work! Cathy starts with grooming tips to ensure your horse looks its best, followed by techniques to get your horse responsive and well-presented in the class. Ready to get started?
