RideLife™ Mobile Application Privacy Policy

​This RideLife™ Mobile Application Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") describes how Equine Western Sports, LLC d/b/a RideLife™ ("RideLife", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with your use of the RideLife™ mobile application and any related content, features, and services (collectively, the "Application").

 

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms part of the RideLife™ Mobile Application Terms of Use. Capitalized terms that are not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meanings given to them in the Terms of Use.

 

By downloading, installing, or using the Application, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy.

 

1. Relationship with Mighty Networks.The Application is built and delivered using community software and hosting services provided by Mighty Software, Inc. ("Mighty Networks"). Mighty Networks is a service provider that operates the underlying platform and infrastructure used by the Application.

  • Mighty Networks collects and processes certain information about you as described in the Mighty Networks Privacy Policy, which is available at: [insert link].

  • RideLife acts as the Host of the RideLife™ Network on the Mighty Networks platform and uses information about members of the RideLife™ Network for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

 

This Privacy Policy describes how RideLife uses and manages your information as Host. It supplements the Mighty Networks privacy policy. In the event of a conflict about how Mighty Networks handles data on its own platform, the Mighty Networks privacy policy governs Mighty Networks' processing.

 

2. Information We Collect. We collect information in three main ways:

  1. Information you provide directly through the Application.

  2. Information collected automatically by Mighty Networks when you use the Application.

  3. Information you provide to RideLife outside the Application, such as through surveys or forms.

 

2.1 Information you provide directly through the Application

When you register for and use the Application, you may provide:

  • Contact information: Name, email address, and any other contact details you choose to provide.

  • Profile information: Short biography, profile photo, location, areas of interest, and other details you add to your profile.

  • User Contributions: Posts, comments, messages, photos, videos, and any other content that you share in the RideLife™ Network, including participation in discussions, events, polls, or livestreams.

  • Communication preferences: Choices about notifications and marketing communications.

 

RideLife, as Host, has access to this information within the RideLife™ Network.

 

2.2 Information collected automatically through the Application

Mighty Networks automatically collects certain information when you use the Application, including:

  • Device identifiers, IP address, browser and device type, operating system, and access times.

  • Log information related to your use of the Application and the RideLife™ Network.

  • Cookies and similar technologies used for analytics, security, and personalization.

  • Approximate location inferred from your IP address, and precise location if you opt in to location features in the mobile app.

 

Mighty Networks uses this information as described in its own privacy policy. RideLife may receive access to usage data and analytics for the RideLife™ Network in both aggregate and identifiable form.

 

2.3 Information you provide to RideLife outside the Application

In addition to information collected through the Application, RideLife may collect information from you through other tools and services that we use to support riders and manage our business, including:

  • Surveys and assessments regarding your goals, interests, and experience as a rider.

  • Event registrations and sign ups for clinics, practice weekends, webinars, or other programs.

  • Rider goals and performance results, including self assessments, training plans, and feedback related to your riding or competition performance.

  • Horse information, such as horse name, age, discipline, training focus, and other non medical details you choose to provide.

  • Training questions and coaching communications that you submit through forms or email.

  • Payment information and billing records when you register for paid services or events. Card payments are processed by third party payment processors and we do not store full card numbers.

 

We may collect this information through third party tools, including but not limited to Airtable, Google Forms, Typeform, Stripe, QuickBooks, ConvertKit, YouTube, Vimeo, and email or document services.

 

3. How We Use Information. Subject to applicable law and this Privacy Policy, RideLife may use information that we collect for the following purposes:

  • Providing and operating the Application and the RideLife™ Network, including managing memberships, profiles, and community features.

  • Delivering coaching, educational content, and training resources, including tailoring content and recommendations to your riding goals and participation.

  • Managing events and programs, including registrations, attendance, billing, follow up communications, and related logistics.

  • Understanding member demographics and use of the RideLife™ Network, including analyzing participation, engagement, and content performance so we can improve our services.

  • Communicating with you, including sending operational messages, updates related to your membership or events, reminders, and responses to your inquiries.

  • Sending marketing and promotional communications, where permitted, about RideLife programs, events, services, and related offerings. You may opt out of marketing communications as described below.

  • Maintaining the safety and integrity of the community, including monitoring compliance with the Terms of Use, investigating suspected violations, and protecting our rights and the rights of other users.

  • Complying with legal obligations, such as recordkeeping, tax, and accounting requirements, and responding to lawful requests from authorities.

 

4. How We Share Information. RideLife treats member information with care and does not sell or rent your personal information.

 

We may share information in the following circumstances:

 

4.1 With Mighty Networks. Because the Application is powered by Mighty Networks, your information is shared with and processed by Mighty Networks in order to operate the platform. Mighty Networks uses and shares information as described in its own privacy policy.

 

4.2 With service providers. We may share your information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our business and the Application, including:

  • Community platform provider (Mighty Networks).

  • Payment processors (for example, Stripe) that process card payments on our behalf.

  • Accounting and billing systems such as QuickBooks.

  • Email and marketing platforms, such as ConvertKit.

  • Data, survey, and form tools, such as Airtable, Google Forms, and Typeform.

  • Video hosting and delivery platforms, such as YouTube or Vimeo.

  • Other vendors that provide hosting, analytics, communication, or customer support services.

 

These service providers are permitted to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and are not authorized by RideLife to sell your information.

 

4.3 Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of RideLife, our members, or others.

  • Enforce our Terms of Use or other agreements.

  • Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.

 

4.4 Business transfers. If RideLife undergoes a reorganization, merger, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information we hold may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

 

4.5 No sale or sharing for third party marketing

RideLife does not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose member personal information to sponsors, advertisers, or other third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

 

5. Data Retention. RideLife keeps personal information for as long as:

  • You maintain an account in the RideLife™ Network,

  • The Application and digital community remain available and active, or

  • We have a business or legal need to retain the information,

 

whichever is longer, subject to applicable law.

 

We may also retain certain records as needed for tax, accounting, legal compliance, dispute resolution, security, and backup purposes.

 

Information processed by Mighty Networks may be retained by Mighty Networks in accordance with its own policies.

 

6. Your Choices and Rights

 

6.1 Managing your account and profile

You may review and update information in your profile within the Application by adjusting your account settings. You may also manage which notifications you receive in the Application and by email.

 

6.2 Marketing communications

You can opt out of marketing emails from RideLife at any time by:

  • Using the unsubscribe or preferences link in the email,

  • Adjusting your notification settings within the Application, or

  • Writing to us at support@equinewesternsports.com and asking to be removed from marketing communications.

You will still receive important transactional or operational communications related to your account, events, or services, even if you opt out of marketing messages.

 

6.3 Cookies and analytics

Cookies and analytics used within the Application are primarily managed by Mighty Networks and its service providers. You can learn more about cookie and analytics choices by reviewing the Mighty Networks privacy and cookie notices and by adjusting your browser or device settings.

 

6.4 Access, correction, and deletion

 

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, or correction or deletion of, certain personal information that we maintain about you.

For certain requests, we may need to verify your identity before acting. Some data may remain in backups or may be retained where required by law.

Requests relating to information controlled by Mighty Networks should be directed to Mighty Networks as described in the Mighty Networks Privacy Policy.

 

7. Children and Minimum Age. The Application is intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. RideLife does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a person under 18 has provided personal information through the Application, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information and, if appropriate, terminate that individual’s access.

 

If you believe that a minor has provided personal information to RideLife, please contact us using the information above.

 

8. Security. We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information under our control against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

Mighty Networks is responsible for protecting information that it processes on its platform and describes its security practices in its own privacy policy.

 

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for promptly notifying us of any suspected unauthorized access to your account.

 

9. Geographic Scope. The Application and Content and Services are intended for individuals located in the United States and Puerto Rico, as described in the Terms of Use. If you access the Application from outside these locations, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

Your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers are located.

 

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice in the Application, by email, or by other appropriate means, and will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy.

 

Your continued use of the Application after any changes are posted indicates your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
